We spent the last week studying oceans, continents and landforms. To culminate our unit on The World Around Us we had an edible landform quiz. Students were given an icecream cone, Hershey Kisses, blue icing, red icing a blue fruit roll-up, green coconut and crushed graham crackers and asked to make 5-6 landforms using their food items. The students used the items to make mountains, volcanos, hills, lakes, rivers, desserts, plains, oceans, coasts, penninsulas, islands and mesas. We had an awesome time!!

Thanks for sharing!!! I have been searching for a good way to teach this to my first graders all weekend and didn't think to make it edible! Will be doing this tomorrow :D
